When to replace spark plugs

Jan 07, 2024

1. The service life of the spark plug has expired. As a member of the easily worn and consumable parts, spark plugs are exposed to high temperature and high pressure for a long time, and the ceramics are prone to embrittlement, explosion and leakage. The electrode wear is reduced and the ignition gap is increased, resulting in the mixture not being fully combusted.

2. Carbon deposits are quite severe. This carbon deposit will not only occur in the engine's intake and exhaust valves, throttle valves, etc., but the spark plug will also accumulate carbon deposits over time because it does not burn sufficient mixture after flameout. Resistance is formed, resulting in poor ignition, inability to refuel, and slow response.
