Disassembly and maintenance of chain saw spark plugs
Jan 04, 2024
There is a hexagonal nut between the chain saw spark plug thread and the insulating ceramic, which can be disassembled and assembled with a 19MM bent handle sleeve. Most chain saws are equipped with a T-type three-purpose wrench; because the chain saw uses mixed gasoline, the spark plug will be larger than Other spark plugs powered by pure gasoline are more likely to accumulate carbon. The spark plug of a chain saw should be maintained regularly to ensure the normal operation of the chain saw. If the spark plug of a chain saw has carbon deposits, the spark plug should be immersed in gasoline and the carbon deposits should be cleaned with a brush or sandpaper. Use a hard metal object or a hard metal object to scrape off the carbon deposits on the electrodes. Do not use direct grilling with fire. Although this seems to be able to remove the carbon deposits, direct grilling for a long time will cause problems with other parts of the chain saw spark plug and shorten the service life of the spark plug. .
Removing the spark plug is complicated and requires only a "spark plug socket" wrench. It is very important to install the spark plug. Do not tighten the spark plug too tightly. If it is too tight, it will easily damage the threads on the cylinder head, especially the aluminum cylinder head. When installing, first hold the spark plug sleeve with your hand and tighten the spark plug, and then use a socket wrench to tighten it 1/4 turn. It is enough. If the spark plug is not equipped with a washer, but has a tapered installation seat type, since the steel body of the spark plug is in contact with the cylinder body, after tightening by hand, you can only use a wrench to screw it in 1/16 turn to avoid causing damage to the cylinder body. damage.
